GLASSWOOL
Made from a combination of recycled bottle glass and silicone heated to a very high temperature, the molten glass is spun and formed into a flexible, fibrous mat that can then be made into finished products.
Its outstanding thermal, fire and acoustic properties come from this mat preventing the movement of air, and from its inert chemical composition. It’s also very versatile, and can be made to many different densities for different properties, shapes and facing materials from loose, granular material for cavity walls to rolls for loft insulation to ceiling tiles and acoustic panels.
